Hi, my name's Rich Hardy. I'm originally from Dallas, Texas. My lifelong dream was to move to the mountains. Growing up we always took trips to Colorado. I learned how to ski at Copper Mountain, and how to flyfish on Gore Creek in Vail and on the Eagle. Depending on who Dad was working for at the time we would sometimes stay at a company condo on Gore Creek in Vail, or we'd stay in Dillon or Frisco and ski the surrounding areas. I guess you could say I was bitten by the mountain bug at an early age.
Maybe it was all of those Grizzly Adams episodes? I discovered Idaho while I was studying at Texas Christian University. National Geographic was featuring a couple who raises wolves in Stanley, Idaho. That's when I realized that Idaho wasn't just potatoes and that I should check it out! I moved here twelve years ago and I haven't looked back. I've been spending more time in slack with family and friends in Dallas, Houston and Atlanta but I plan on spending many more summers and winters in Sun Valley...
I have 10 years experience working in the transportation business dispatching and driving for A-1 Taxi for 4 1/2 years as well as having founded Wood River Taxi 5 years ago.
